Online learning at the kitchen table

Classes Move to Online Instruction as of Monday, March 16

By Lisa Fasold

As a preventative measure in response to the health concerns stemming from the new Coronavirus (COVID-19), Creating IT Futures and CompTIA Tech Career Academy will move classroom instruction for our IT-Ready Technical Support program to our online learning platform as of Monday, March 16.

The same classroom hours will apply, 9:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. We will send out instructions to each student on how to log onto our online learning platform.

Our highest priority is ensuring the safety and well-being of our students and instructors, thus our classes will now be taught online until the COVID-19 health situation changes for the better.

Through our custom training operations, we have conducted online classrooms for our technical support programs for more than a year, honing our instructor techniques and expertise. We are confident in our ability to provide high-quality training to our students – whether in the classroom or online.

If students have any questions or concerns regarding our online learning platform, they can contact their Academic Advisor Stacy Litwin.

As far as we know, none of our students have been infected with the virus or have encountered someone who has been infected.

In our classrooms, we regularly clean our rooms and computers, wiping down equipment and furniture with disinfectant, including all high-touch surfaces, such as keyboards, mice, desks, door handles and handrails, and provide hand sanitizer and wipes to students.

Our goal is to keep our students and instructors safe and healthy, while continuing to prepare our students to land – and succeed in – their first jobs in tech.

Applications for future classes remain open
