What You Will Learn
In IT-Ready Technical Support, you’ll learn technical skills necessary to prepare for your CompTIA A+ certification exam, one of the leading industry certifications for landing a job on an IT help desk and launching your tech career, according to research firms like Burning Glass. You’ll be taught by CompTIA A+ certified instructors and have access to online learning tools and discussion forums to reinforce your studies.
You’ll also receive targeted professional development to refine critical business skills, such as communication, conflict management, teamwork, critical thinking and problem-solving. You’ll be prepared to apply both technical and professional skills starting Day One of your tech job.

Are We a Good Fit for You?
Our goal is not only to train you but to see you land—and succeed in—an IT job. You don’t need any prior tech experience to enroll. However, we have found successful students are:
- At least 18 years old
- A high school graduate (or GED holder)
- A U.S. citizen (or authorized to work in the U.S.)
- Highly motivated and able to commit to training
- Able to demonstrate learning, communication and problem-solving skills
- Able to use a computer to navigate in the Windows environment

Upcoming Programs
Through our Online Campus, our IT-Ready Technical Support program is offered over 16 weeks, Monday-Friday. Students attend sessions from 9 a.m. to Noon or 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. CT, depending on if they are in a morning or evening class.
In our City Campuses, we offer full-day classes from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. over 8 weeks. Our 2020 classes in our city campuses are online due to COVID-19 health concerns, but we're planning to have our full-day classes back in the classroom in 2021.

Applications for the program typically need time for assessment and processing, so apply early!
Students are required to be on time every day; the program allows only one absence and three tardies. Employers expect their staff to be on time, and we expect the same of our students in order to prepare you for your tech career.
