CompTIA Tech Career Academy Admissions
Are We A Good Fit
Our goal is not only to train you but to see you land—and succeed in—an IT job. You don’t need any prior tech experience to enroll. However, in order to be admitted to CompTIA Tech, you must be:
- At least 18 years old
- A high school graduate or GED holder or have transcripts confirming higher-level degree(s) earned from an accredited institution
- Eligible to work in the United States
- Able to provide valid government-issued photo identification or driver’s license
- Able to participate in an online interview
- Able to take an aptitude test and achieve the minimum acceptable score
- Able to speak, read/write and understand the English language
- Able to use a computer to navigate in the Windows environment
Additionally, if enrolling in our online programming, you must be able to learn in an online environment and have access to the internet and a reliable laptop or desktop computer with a current web browser and Microsoft Office software applications.
We will guide you through a 5-step process as we determine whether you and CompTIA Tech are a good fit:
Start by filling out a simple online application.
Take a few short assessments to help us get to know you. Learn if you qualify to move on in the process.
Meet with an advisor in a video chat to discuss your interest in CompTIA Tech.
Receive our admissions decision within two to three business days after your interview.
If you are seeking financial assistance, provide us with some additional information to determine if you qualify.

For much less than the cost of a college degree, CompTIA Tech can provide the training you need to land and succeed in a great IT job. What you pay will vary depending on whether you receive financial assistance, but in keeping with our mission, we strive to keep our costs down. As a not-for-profit, our focus is not on making money—it’s on your success. And our tuition rates reflect that commitment.
Some CompTIA Tech students will need help paying tuition. Financial assistance —up to the full tuition amount—is available to qualifying students in many locations through our generous donor organizations. Students also can access low-interest-rate CompTIA Loans to pay their tuition after their training. Explore your financial assistance options by clicking the button below.
