Creating IT Futures
While filling two charitable executive roles as Executive Vice President, Social Innovation, CompTIA and as CEO, Creating IT Futures, Charles Eaton helps populations that are under-represented in IT and individuals who are lacking in opportunity to prepare for, secure and be successful in information technology careers. Under Charles' direction, Creating IT Futures has expanded its scope to cultivate best practices in American workforce development and tech-related STEM education.
Charles joined CompTIA and Creating IT Futures in June 2010 and has more than two decades of non-profit management experience. Previously he was responsible for fundraising, business development and marketing for the Association for Professionals in Infection Control and Epidemiology (APIC), a healthcare association focused on improving healthcare quality and patient safety. Before joining APIC, Charles was vice president of member relations for the Consumer Electronics Association, which organizes the largest tradeshow in North America, the International CES in Las Vegas.
Charles graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in English from Duke University and has four kids, ranging from elementary school-age to young adult.
